The Opportunity We’re partnering with a large Sydney-based local council to recruit skilled Mechanics and Welders for their busy workshops. These are ongoing roles offering competitive pay rates of up to $52 per hour , great facilities, and the stability of working with local government. The Roles Mechanic Service, maintain, and repair council fleet vehicles (light to medium trucks, utilities, and plant equipment) Carry out fault finding, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance Ensure vehicles meet safety and compliance standards Welder Perform MIG welding and fabrication work on fleet vehicles, plant, and infrastructure assets Undertake general repair and maintenance welding tasks Work to safety standards in a well-equipped council workshop What We’re Looking For Relevant trade qualifications (Cert III Mechanical / Welding or equivalent) Strong experience in your trade (council fleet, trucks, or plant highly regarded) Ability to work independently and as part of a team Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards White Card and current driver’s licence What’s on Offer Up to $52ph super Ongoing, long-term roles with potential to go permanent 38-hour week overtime opportunities Modern workshop facilities Be part of a supportive, experienced team How to Apply If you’re a qualified Mechanic or Welder looking for ongoing local council work in Sydney, hit APPLY NOW or call us today for a confidential chat.
